About The Stakesby ArmsThe Stakesby Arms pub is located on Byland Court in Whitby, near Stakesby School and just off Chubb Hill. Stakesby Arms, 1 Byland Court, Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. The Arms was recently refurbished with a modern sports room featuring two pool tables, a games machine and a darts board. There is a back room with a screen equipped with Sky Digital. The Arms is run by brother and sister team, Graham and Alison Sutherland. The Arms play their home games at the Showfield on White Leys Road. It is next door to Whitby Rugby Club. Getting there: Chances are you'll be coming via the A171 Scarborough road. If so, take this road into Whitby and continue forward across the high level bridge and straight ahead at the traffic lights. You go down a steep hill, and take the second exit up another steep hill(don't go up the side street with the archway). Then take the first left at the roundabout, down the hill and take the second right(you'll see the field) and left into the car park. If you go via Sleights, Ruswarp- then take the second exit at the roundabout, right at the junction, past the Spar Garage and take the second right after the field. You'll see the posts. Take the first left into the car park. When coming via Middlesbrough on the A19, take the first left at the Four Lane Ends Garage roundabout, turn right at the junction past the Spar Garage on your left and take a right just after the field and left into the car park. You will see the Rugby posts. When taking the A174(coast road) go right at the mini roundabout(3rd exit), take the first left, round the corner and first right into car park, again you'll see the rugby posts.
