Stakesby Arms had a day to forget as Heslerton warmed up for their Frank White Trophy Semi Final later this month with a comprehensive 4-0 win at Sands Lane.... Report
Washout Again as fixtures pile up.....
Stakesby Arms were again frustrated as Saturday's semi final with Heslerton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The Arms travel to the same team in league action this saturday hoping for a sustained run of games in order to avoid too many night clashes come the end of april. Players please note games vs Newlands and Seamer kick off at 3pm and 4pm respectively.
Smith double sees off Ganton.....
Stakesby Arms hit got back to winning ways with an unconvincing 3 - 1 win at much improved Ganton in boggy conditions. Top scorer Ian Smith bagged a brace and Adam Steele a header to take the points....Report
Smith Piledriver in vain as Riskers win at the Mount..
Stakesbys first game in 7 weeks ended in a tame defeat despite a spirited show at Olivers Mount, where all 3 of the Arms defeats have taken place this season. Ian Smith gave the Arms a 55thminute lead with a 25 yard piledriver before defensive frailties were there for all to see as Riskers netted 3 times in 20 minutes to seal a deserved victory. Report....
Westover end recent good form........
Westover Wasps Reserves cruised to victory as Arms second defeat of the season came on Olivers Mount. 4 first half goals stunned the away side, before Ian Smith bagged 2 in the second half followed by 1 for the hosts who ended up with a comfortable 5 - 2 win.
Games of 2 halves, but Arms Progress....
Stakesby progressed to the semi finals of the Frank White Trophy and bagged a tie with Heslerton after a 5-2 win over Ayton Reserves at the Showfield. Ayton had led 2-0 at the break before 3 goals in 12 minutes, 2 from lee Brennan and 1 from Hoggarth put the Arms in the lead. Stu Hancock and Ian Smith polished off a fine second half for the home side..........
Brennan Hattrick continues promotion push....
A Lee Brennan Hattrick
continued Stakesby fine leaue form at the expense of Newlands Park Reserves at the Showfield. Newlands led as the Arms struggled before Brennan grabbed his first. Ian Smiths header then gave the arms an early lead in the second half before Newlands again levelled. Brennan then scored twice more to wrap up 3 more valuable league points.... Report
