Arms defeat in Frank White Trophy Final....
Stakesby Arms were defeated by high flying Ryedale in the final of the Frank White Trophy 6-1 at Mccains Sports Club, Cayton. Stakesby started much the bettter and led through Simon Taylor but with the huge wind advantage Ryedale got back on track and hit 4 first half goals to lead 4-1 at the break. Stakesby battled away and were a credit to the club as they held their heads high but couldnt find a way back in an conceeded 2 more in the second half to condemn them to final misery once again Report....
Steele late show sends Arms to final...
Adam Steeles' 110th minute header sent the Stakesby Arms into the Frank White Trophy Final with a 3-2 extra time win over Heslerton at the Showfield. Arms had trailed before Lee Brennan's quickfire double has given the home side the lead, only for a controversial second for Heslerton took the game to extra time before Steele popped up to take the plaudits. Brennan hattrick seals win at Newlands Reserves............
Lee Brennan's hattrick was enough to do the double over Newlands Park Reserves in a physical encounter. The home side had led before Brennan's goals either side of the break sealed the points for a bare 11 Arms. Report.....
Drydale bags 4 as Heslerton bag the points........
Stakesby Arms had a day to forget as Heslerton warmed up for their Frank White Trophy Semi Final later this month with a comprehensive 4-0 win at Sands Lane.... Report
Washout Again as fixtures pile up.....
Stakesby Arms were again frustrated as Saturday's semi final with Heslerton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The Arms travel to the same team in league action this saturday hoping for a sustained run of games in order to avoid too many night clashes come the end of april. Players please note games vs Newlands and Seamer kick off at 3pm and 4pm respectively.
Smith double sees off Ganton.....
Stakesby Arms hit got back to winning ways with an unconvincing 3 - 1 win at much improved Ganton in boggy conditions. Top scorer Ian Smith bagged a brace and Adam Steele a header to take the points....Report
Smith Piledriver in vain as Riskers win at the Mount..
Stakesbys first game in 7 weeks ended in a tame defeat despite a spirited show at Olivers Mount, where all 3 of the Arms defeats have taken place this season. Ian Smith gave the Arms a 55thminute lead with a 25 yard piledriver before defensive frailties were there for all to see as Riskers netted 3 times in 20 minutes to seal a deserved victory. Report....
Westover end recent good form........
Westover Wasps Reserves cruised to victory as Arms second defeat of the season came on Olivers Mount. 4 first half goals stunned the away side, before Ian Smith bagged 2 in the second half followed by 1 for the hosts who ended up with a comfortable 5 - 2 win.
